Residential films often make the same mistake: they show the building from every angle but never explain why someone should live there. These seven scenes help the film inform and move the viewer.
1. Location and access
Open with a drone shot: where is the project and how close is it to main roads, the coast, schools and the centre? The first 10 seconds should put the viewer on the map.
2. Architectural character
Façade, materials and proportions. Slow camera moves with daylight crossing the surfaces show build quality.
3. Shared amenities
Pool, landscaping, playground, sports areas. Ideally with people and real moments of use.
4. Flow through the home
One continuous walk from the entrance to the living room, kitchen and balcony, so viewers can picture the plan.
5. The view
The real view from the window. It answers the most common question in the sales office.
6. Details
Door handles, worktops, flooring, lighting. Close-ups prove material quality.
7. Evening and night
Lights on, the community coming to life. End on a warm feeling and a clear call to action.
For projects still under construction, some scenes can be produced in 3D and combined with drone and site footage.
